Colt 1911 Delta Elite Rubber Diamond Grip

I bought these to put on my Rock Island 10mm because I can’t afford a Colt Delta. Price is very reasonable compared to eBay products which don’t have the front strap covering. They did need some fitting. I had to cut a relief for the right side ambi safety and trim and file the top of the left side for clearance around the plunger tube and safety, but very minor trimming. Getting them to wrap around the grip and the screw holes to line up was a struggle. I think the Rock Island front strap is a little bigger than standard Colt. The “rubber” material is more like hard plastic and doesn’t stretch hardly at all. If they used a higher rubber content material that was softer and had more stretch it would improve fit across a wider field of manufacturers. But I did finally get them on and they look good. Could be with a Colt they wouldn’t have the fitment troubles.
